Our project has been named ‘Quarry for Stone Transformation Unit’ (from the original in Portuguese ‘PEDREIRA UNIDADE DE TRANSFORMAÇÃO DE PEDRAS’). In May 2009, we have founded Construções Verde Cabo Verde Limitada, in Cape Verde - a company dedicated to Civil Construction and Extraction & Production of Construction Aggregate, which is set to be a national pioneer in this area.

Our quarry, occupying a total area of 78,000 Sq meters, is located in Aguada de Janela, municipality of Paúlin the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde.

Civil construction is a major employment sector in Cape Verde, as well as highly important for the country’s Economy. Construction aggregate or ‘inert material for construction’ is currently imported into Cape Verde, as the exploration of national quarries is virtually inexistent – in spite of this activity being highly promoted as one of the very top investment opportunities in the country.

ARPS World was created to privately assist in a global program on the development of Cape Verde, specifically targeting areas where improvement could be made in attracting foreign investment. The Republic of Cape Verde or Cape Verde (Portuguese: Cabo Verde) is a republic located on an archipelago in the Macaronesia ecoregion of the North Atlantic Ocean, off the western coast of Africa. The previously uninhabited islands were discovered and colonized by the Portuguese in the fifteenth century, though the position of the Islands of the Blest, the longitude zero meridian of the ancient Geography of Marinos of Tyre and Ptolemy, agrees tolerably with Cape Verde.
